Once upon a time…
On the 11th of March, a love story began between two high school students. If you ask Patrick, he will say our first interaction was when he was a TA for Katrina’s class, when her and her friends “made fun of him” for not knowing the answer to an Algebra 2 review question. If you ask Katrina, she will say our first interaction was after her first volleyball game and Patrick was assigned to take a team photo. Either way, we officially starting talking when Patrick joined the boys’ volleyball team and the rest is history…
On April 15, 2013, we became official boyfriend and girlfriend! Patrick waited for Katrina after class with chocolates and a stuffed toy of an elephant - her favorite animal.
We supported each other when we went to separate colleges. Although Patrick did spend A LOT of time at UCLA, our college years felt like so much time apart.
August 10, 2023 we moved in together and got our first apartment. We’ve spent the past two years building a life together, experiencing a lot of new challenges as adults. Though we are still able to have fun and just enjoy our life.
After two months of living together and ten years together, Patrick proposed to Katrina at the RISE Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. Under hundreds of lanterns floating in the sky, Patrick got down on one knee and Katrina said YES! Now, as December comes upon us, we are ready to start our next chapter in this life together.
